Pink on Parade came to life in 2013 as a collaboration between Florida Hospital and Olga Ivanov, MD, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Florida Hospital Celebration Health.
Since its inception, Pink on Parade has brought together over 3,500 participants and has raised nearly $300,000 to benefit women battling breast cancer in our community. A portion of these proceeds has already been provided to patients recovering from breast cancer surgery as a holistic health experience. Patients who are eligible for this package receive one-on-one counseling with a cancer-certified dietitian to develop a nutrition plan that can help prevent a re-occurrence of disease. Patients also receive metabolic testing and a functional movement assessment from an exercise physiologist.
This important relationship paves the way for a healthy recovery. Lastly, patients are treated to a lymphatic massage. The vision for Pink on Parade is to be an annual event attracting thousands of participants to raise funds for breast cancer awareness, research and treatment.
